Imabong- Theatre Revolve

Theatre Revolve is a collaboration among theatre and production companies that empowers female artists through the creation of live theatre, artistic training, mentorship and leadership development in dynamic projects of immediate impact and global implication, while establishing and strengthening local and international arts networks.

Short Bio:I came to Canada from my home country, Nigeria, in 2004 to study at the University of Toronto. I joined Theatre Revolve this year at a very difficult time in my life and I feel soothed and more focused each week when I `revolve`.

Why is Theatre Revolve important?: Being a complete art novice with no formal artistic training whatsoever, Theatre Revolve has provided a medium and a space for me to satisfy my curiousities about art. It has given me an outlet and a strong foundation on which to build upon. Theatre Revolve has revived the suffocating artist that was once me.
